For the Love of Hydration – Drink Lots of Water
Is one of your goals to drink more water? As you know, water is good for your skin, joints, and all around health. How much you need is dependent on a number of factors, but the old 8 – 8 oz. glasses of water per day is a great rule of thumb.
Pick a big, happy reusable cup or bottle
You are more likely to drink more water out of a large cup or bottle that makes you happy. For example, try a 24 oz. Tervis Tumbler water bottle. They have fun designs, great lids, and keep the water cold for a long time. Drink two or three full bottles every day and you’ve met your mark.
Avoid disposable water bottles, which are both expensive and damaging to the environment. Keep your happy cup with you at all times and refill when necessary.
Add some flavor
Throw in a lemon, a few strawberries, sliced cucumber – whatever strikes your fancy. Plain old water can get boring at times, so keep it interesting.
Note that most of us need more than 64 oz. a day to stay hydrated, but other beverages – even wine! – count towards your quota and a lot of water is found in many foods you eat. The key is to make sure most of your hydration comes from water itself.
